Lithofacies of Marine Quaternary Sediments

   Four lithofacies were distinguished on the base of texture, lithology and sedimentary structures (Figure below). These lithofacies cover the entrance of Shatt Al-Arab River and Khor Abdallah channel south of Iraq. The age of the sediments is from Pleistocene to Recent.
