Field Trap For
Estimation of Transported Sand Quantity By
Wind Erosion.

Abstract
Field trap was designed
in order to evaluate the quantity of transported sand.
This trap consists of a wooden rode of 2 meter in
length. Four containers are mounted along the rode, at
height of 0.05, 0.35, 0.70 and 1.05 meter from ground
surface. The aperture of each container is 0.009m2
faced to the wind direction. These apertures
connected to plastic bottles to collect sands. Many
traps are implemented in the area for more measurements
and precession. The obtained results are compared with
the results of wind erosion equation applied in our
area, and the results of this comparison encourage to
utilize this trap.
