Abstract

The presences of calcite eyes in the family Orbitolinidae related to an internal physiological reason rather than parasite inhabitation. The individuals of this family try to create open spaces in the areas of its body intensively crowded by the main partitions or it branches. This mechanism helps in transporting of living matter as well as continuity of the animal life. After death and burial, these created spaces filled with pure calcite.
